SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Thank you for your interest in Oppenheimer’s Internship Program.
We actively recruit talented people from all backgrounds into our Firm. Ranging from internships to full-time jobs, our positions offer an opportunity to learn firsthand about the Firm, our culture and the financial services industry.
About the Internship Program
This is an eight to ten week paid summer internship designed to fully immerse you in the day-today activities of one of our departments. The program includes ongoing sessions where you’ll learn about our Firm culture and history, as well as the benefits and responsibilities of being a member of Oppenheimer. You will also receive department-specific training designed to help you succeed in your role.
Oppenheimer internships are real jobs with real impact. As an intern, you will receive actual responsibilities that come with the same expectations as a full-time employee. Additionally, this experience gives you the chance to work alongside our industry leaders.
Summer interns may be invited back to interview for our full-time rotational trainee program.
Development Opportunities
Our Internship Program provides you with the opportunity to gain hands-on leadership experience while getting to know the business community. Through training, offsite-visits, mentorship, and routine interactions, you learn new skills, expand your network, and achieve personal and professional growth.
To help you grow and develop, we organize a cross-divisional series of presentations by senior managers. These will introduce you to the variety of our business areas and functions. Throughout your internship, you’ll also attend various social events, which will help you develop a lasting professional network. Structured performance feedback will make sure that you get the most out of your time with us and will help identify areas of strength or development.
Who Can Apply
The program is for students currently pursuing a college or university degree and is usually undertaken during the sophomore or junior year of study. While you can apply with any major or area of focus, we are looking for students with an outstanding record of academic achievement (3.2 GPA or higher), excellent command of the English language and an interest in the financial markets.
