Insurance CEO Summit
June 2, 2009
We are proud to announce the Oppenheimer Insurance CEO Summit, which we will host on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Oppenheimer offices at 300 Madison Avenue, New York City.
This specialty insurance conference will provide meaningful discussion of a full spectrum of issues impacting the industry at a pivotal stage in its lifecycle. Our panel format will give investors exposure to some of the most successful managers and respected thought leaders across the industry, provide timely discussion of the current financial environment as it relates to insurer investment portfolios, and highlight proprietary analysis of the most relevant political issues facing the industry today.
Our conference will include two important keynote speakers on topics relevant both inside and outside the insurance industry:
8:15 AM - William R. Berkley, Chairman, President & CEO, W.R. Berkley Corporation
Mr. Berkley will open up our conference with a discussion of the state of the property/casualty insurance market.
12:20 PM - Robert Shiller, Chief Economist, MacroMarkets & Professor of Economics at Yale University.
Mr. Shiller will discuss his views on economic stimulus and what it could mean for the U.S. economy.
Along with full exposure to management teams through one-on-one meetings, the CEO Summit will consist of several subject-matter panels, including:
- The state of workers compensation
- Medical malpractice insurance
- Reinsurance: Hard market or hard times?
- A specialty insurer’s view of general liability
- A CIO roundtable discussion of investment portfolio philosophy
- State of the Obama Healthcare Plan
- Developing political issues facing US banks
- Outlook for the equity markets
The Insurance CEO Summit will not follow the typical investor conference format, and it will not be webcast. One-on-one meetings will be in 40 minute increments. To submit requests for 1-on-1 meetings, please contact your institutional sales representative directly.
We look forward to your participation.
