Investment Programs

Separately Managed Accounts

Separately managed account programs such as the Investment Advisory Service (“IAS”), a sub-advisory wrap program, and Strategic Asset Review (“STAR”), a dual contract wrap program, are available for clients who seek a disciplined approach to portfolio construction and the benefits associated with separate accounts. IAS and STAR are long-term investment programs that offer clients a selection of premier separate account managers to provide professional investment management of their assets. Oppenheimer Asset Management Inc. (“OAM”) conducts rigorous due diligence on all of the managers available in IAS. In STAR, a client may select managers from the universe of those recommended by OAM or engage managers from outside of the OAM universe. Both IAS and STAR offer a structured process designed to develop, implement and monitor a long-term investment plan consistent with each client's specific financial needs and objectives.

Unified Managed Accounts

Unified Managed Accounts (“UMAs”) are available through IAS, and provide clients with a flexible investment vehicle to meet their individual investment objectives. In a UMA, a client may combine multiple separate account managers, mutual funds, and/or exchange-traded funds into a single customized portfolio. A wide range of managers, mutual funds and ETFs are available in UMAs, including managers and mutual funds that are recommended by OAM. All UMA investments are held in the same custodial account, facilitating the benefits of on-going rebalancing among all investments.

Portfolio Advisory Services

Portfolio Advisory Service ("PAS") is a mutual fund advisory program that provides clients with both non-discretionary and discretionary portfolio options. The non-discretionary program offers a flexible, open architecture platform to construct diversified mutual fund portfolios that are appropriate for each client’s investment objectives. Actively managed tactical asset allocation options are available through our discretionary portfolios managed by Oppenheimer Asset Management. PAS can be used to fulfill a complete asset allocation strategy or in conjunction with other OAM products.

PAS offers clients access to a vast universe of eligible funds, including load-waived and no-load funds. Clients may also choose to refine their selection to include mutual funds from our Focus List – mutual funds that are screened and monitored by our research team based upon a rigorous quantitative and qualitative process.
